No – I never saw a sky like this. I don’t know the real reason for it Christine, but I suspect it’s probably equatorial – on top of which is the high humidity. I suppose I should do some google searching to see what it’s all about 🙂
It doesn’t really feel like summer to my heat-habituated senses, Pommy – but on the other hand, there was certainly no sense of it being late August or early September. I fear we’ve rushed right into early summer so I’ll have to wait till next year to experience Spring!
you mean the skies are not so blue in Sri Lanka? is it cloud? or haze? or something equatorial?

we wonder about so many things don’t we?? the fun of life!
That sky is indeed blue. Wonderful that the weather is being kind to grace your return 🙂
it is, of course, though if it had asked me I might have asked for a little taste of winter and spring just for a coming home treat!
Summer has come soooo early this year, hope things are going well for you over here

Yes I forgot you have been living in a very tropical environment so you will be acclimatised to here.
Well yes, but the tropics feel a bit different to here today where the air’s hot and dry – like I remember from my childhood out west.
Ah but that will change in a few more weeks the humidity will start rising. 😦
Ah, yes, I remember the humidity – good you reminded me!
